Assistant Marketing Manager



As the Assistant Marketing Manager, you will help to bring the zing to Zing’s brand voice and events! Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you’ll be responsible for copywriting, influencer marketing, and our content strategy. As we scale, you will be instrumental in executing all aspects of our marketing efforts. More importantly, you will be joining a high-growth, venture-backed startup—led by co-founders who have founded and led multiple successful businesses—and will have the opportunity to play a critical role in writing the Zing story. This role is perfect for someone ready to roll up their sleeves and own projects end-to-end.



Proactive and eager to take ownership of projects.

Impeccable project management skills.

3+ years of social media marketing experience. The number of years matter less than your ability to quickly create content that’s on trend and on brand.

Extremely creative and an incredible storyteller.

Excellent eye for visuals and maintaining a strong brand. Working knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Figma, Photoshop, a plus.

Clear and direct communicator with the ability to find the right tone with any audience.

Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills: you know how to keep a well-prioritized list and communicate priorities to all stakeholders.

Data driven decision-maker who can break down complex problems, take ownership, and drive results.

Hours and operations

This is a hybrid role based in Bergen County, New Jersey due to the need to capture and create content of our Zing-mobiles in action.

Expect to come in person 2–3 days per week.

Some weekend availability required to attend and capture content for events.

Some travel will be required as we expand to new markets.

Develop the social media and comms strategy in alignment with greater marketing campaigns and partnerships.

Create amaZING content for Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook.

Create messaging for push, in-app, and SMS.

Copywriting for menus, marketing materials, website, etc.

Content collection—both capturing content yourself and leveraging existing staff to source quality content.

Analyze results, test and perfect new content formats (static, stories, reels/videos, etc.), and react to data/feedback from our audience.

Content Marketing

Manage influencer agency and oversee campaigns.

Own relationships with key influencers.

Outreach and sponsorship management of Facebook groups.

Manage and engage with our social media community on a daily basis.
