Community Marketing Manager

Marketing

Full-time

As a Community Marketing Manager, you will help to bring the zing to Zing’s social channels! Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you’ll be responsible for content creation, audience engagement, and audience growth for our social media accounts. As we scale, you will be instrumental in developing the social media playbook for expansions to new markets and into new channels. More importantly, you will be joining a high-growth, venture-backed startup—led by co-founders who have founded and led multiple successful businesses—and will have the opportunity to play a critical role in writing the Zing story.

Responsibilities

Create amaZING content for Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Content collection—both capturing content yourself and leveraging existing staff to source quality content.

Test and perfect new content formats (static, stories, reels/videos, etc.), and react to data/feedback from our audience.

Maintain the social media calendar in alignment with greater marketing campaigns and partnerships.

Manage and engage with our social media community on a daily basis.

Manage influencer relationships and campaigns.

Assist in planning local events and community partnerships.

Qualifications

2+ years of social media marketing experience. But what’s most important is that you’re an active social media user with excellent working knowledge of all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn) and curiosity to stay on top of emerging trends in the space. If you live and breathe social media, we want to hear from you regardless of how many years of work experience you have or don’t have.

Extremely creative and an incredible storyteller.

Excellent eye for visuals and maintaining a strong brand. Working knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Figma, Photoshop, a plus.

Video or photography skills, preferred.

Clear and direct communicator with the ability to find the right tone with any audience.

Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills: you know how to keep a well-prioritized list and communicate priorities to all stakeholders.

Data driven decision-maker who can break down complex problems, take ownership, and drive results.

About Zing

Zing is reinventing the suburbs by bringing the convenience of city living to suburban neighborhoods. Our smart, modular, connected Zing-mobiles can be outfitted to create any retail or service experience, from mobile cafes to book fairs to costume shops and beyond. Our ever-improving algorithms route these vehicles to nodes of demand, providing pop-up service exactly where and when it’s needed. Whatever you’d expect on your block in the city, we’re parking on your corner in the ‘burbs. The Zing experience is designed to delight our customers because we understand that retail and service experiences aren’t just transactional, they’re an opportunity to connect with your community and to enjoy a few minutes’ break from the daily hustle. In offering an alternative to driving to the mall or ordering everything online, we’re not only creating an entirely new mode of suburban commerce, we’re bringing a bit of everyday magic to the suburbs.

Our first Zing-mobiles are on the streets of Bergen County, NJ, offering a boutique coffee shop experience. Follow us on Instagram (@zingtheday) and LinkedIn (Zing!) for updates on Zing in action!

Hours and operations

This is a hybrid role based in Bergen County, New Jersey due to the need to capture and create content of our Zing-mobiles in action. Expect to come in person 1–2 days per week.

Some weekend availability required to attend and capture content for events.

Some travel will be required as we expand to new markets.
